Description
The MR8 halogen is not a commonly used lamp although is sometimes used in spot lights, reading lights and extractor hoods and is easily replaced with an LED alternative. The MR8 halogen is easily identified as a conical shaped lamp with a 25mm diameter and two short pins spaced 4mm apart – it is similar to the more common MR11 lamp but has a smaller diameter. If the diameter of your lamp is larger, please take a look at our MR11 or MR16 sections of the website. The 6-LED MR8 is the 10W halogen replacement and provide a convenient replacement as the cap used is exactly the same size as the halogen. All control circuitry for the LEDs is located within the cap so it is just a case of remove the halogen and replace with our LED alternative.
