Light colour temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin (K). Usually, ‘cool’ light sits higher on the Kelvin scale, at a range of 6000K-6500K, whereas ‘warm’ light sits at a lower range of 2700K-3500K. Cool light is perceived as brighter and more intense, whereas warm light looks slightly dimmer, and has a soft orange glow reminiscent of sunsets or candlelight.
