White colour temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin (K). Usually, cool white light sits higher on the Kelvin scale, at a range of 6000K-6500K, whereas warm light sits at a lower range of 2700K-3500K. Warm light is easily recognisable as it looks slightly dimmer, and has a soft orange glow reminiscent of sunsets or candlelight. On the other hand, cool white LEDs emit a brighter, bluish-white light.
